Date: Sunday December 6th 5pm to midnight
Just because youre into all things eco and organic doesnt mean you dont enjoy a big night out and a good old knees-up as much as the next person. But if you choose to eat raw vegan, chances are youre used to being left pretty disappointed on the food front, as you politely pass on the champagne, the steak and the crème brulée and push limp lettuce leaves around your plate.
But not on Sunday December 6! We are holding a party at Londons Saf restaurant, which is for our money not only the UKs but also Europes top raw restaurant. This will be THE raw party of the year, folks! And there are still some tickets left, so read on to find out more...

Four reasons you will want to be at this party:
The food We tasted everything on Safs menu and hand-picked the delights to serve to you on this special night. Naturally, it was a tough job but we dont cut corners when it comes to ensuring our customers are getting the very best! The food will be served as passed canapés, starting with savoury delicacies and moving to sweet treats as the night progresses. Among other things, we selected amazing raw sushi, Safs famous beetroot ravioli, an out-of-this-world cashew cheese with sage pesto and a pink peppercorn crust, and some raw cakes that have to be tried to be believed. There will also be a salad bar serving three gorgeous "to-live-for" salads. Food will be in abundance, and its all created by none other than Safs executive chef, the legendary Chad Sarno, and brilliant new head chef Anupam Som.
The people If youve attended previous Fresh Network events youre sure to see familiar faces here! If you havent, you will find it the ideal place for meeting people who are on your wavelength, should you wish to. A hint: if youre passionate about all things raw but dont have any (or many) friends who share that passion, consider it a priority to be at this party! Ask anyone who lives an alternative lifestyle and has plenty of like-minded friends: it makes a huge difference to your quality of life. Many customers report that they have forged some of their best friendships at our events. Oh, and did we mention that a number of high-profile raw food experts will be there on the night to chat to guests and sign books? This will be your chance to meet some of the people youve read about online, seen in the pages of Get Fresh! magazine, or heard on the radio. Among those looking forward to 2009's biggest raw food fiesta are Janey Lee Grace, Karen Knowler, Elaine Bruce, Philip Weeks, Russell James, and Dr Doug Graham and Professor Rozalind Graham plus daughter Faychesca.
The discount shopping Theres no need to wait for the January sales if you shop with us! We will be selling everything from our online store at extra-special prices at this party, with discounts ranging from 10% to 20%. The goody bag As our gift to you for attending you will receive a goody bag worth over £30 and packed with raw treats. It wouldnt be a surprise if we told you any more than that, but suffice it to say that Christmas will come early for you if you attend this party.

Other information Whether you are travelling from within London or from further afield, were here to help with any queries you have about getting to the party and/or finding a place to stay for the night, should you need to. Read on for directions to Saf, a list of nearby hotels and a guide to enjoying some of the capitals other raw highlights during your stay. We dont know the hotels that well (we have suggested them based on reputation, price and location) but we hope you will love the raw food recommendations. Getting there Apart from being a great raw food restaurant, Saf is also a really easy place to get to whether you are coming by tube, driving or even walking from one of the local hotels. Its right on the corner of Old Street and Curtain Road in trendy and up-and-coming Shoreditch.
For your address book Saf Restaurant & Bar 152-154 Curtain Road Shoreditch, London EC2A 3AT Tel 0207 613 0007
By tube Nearest station: Old Street (Northern Line, City branch) Leave the tube at exit 2 then walk east down Old Street until you see Curtain Road on your right. Saf is right at the top, near the junction with Old Street - the walk should take no more than 5-6 minutes. If you get to the railway bridge and Shoreditch High Street, turn around - youve gone too far! According to the London Transport website, the last train from Old Street on Sundays is at 23.32hrs. Liverpool Street mainline and tube station (Central, Circle, Hammersmith and Metropolitan lines) is a 12-15 minute walk from Saf.
By car Parking possibilities - there are many so these are just a few suggestions:
- Hoxton Square - on-street parking - 3-minute walk to Saf
- Shoreditch High Street - open-air car park next to petrol station, almost opposite Crowne Plaza hotel (see below) - 5-minute walk to Saf
- Willow Street - pay and display - at the back of the Hoxton Hotel (see below) - 5-minute walk to SAF
2 things to remember 1. Before leaving your car, check the payment instructions. Even on a Sunday night, not all "on-street" parking is free. 2. If you are leaving your car overnight, check whether you are parked in the Congestion Zone and/or whether you will drive through it on Monday. It comes into force at 7am and paying the £8 charge is much better than paying the fine!
By taxi
- Pre-book - there are numerous companies in London. We have experience of Addison Lee (0844 800 6677) who were professional and punctual
- Pick up a black cab
